Project

The ʔapsčiik t̓ašii (Upscheek Tashee)

  • Completion: 2022
  • Type: Commercial
  • Location: Vancouver Island, BC

The ʔapsčiik t̓ašii, pronounced Upscheek Tashee, is a 25 km hard-surfaced multi-use path connecting the communities of Tofino and Ucluelet through the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve on the western coast of Vancouver Island.

Our geotechnical work included stability and settlement analyses, bridge and retaining wall design, and lightweight geofoam solutions. With construction monitoring and a quality control plan, we helped create a durable, accessible pathway that weaves through this breathtaking natural landscape.
